WHITNEY RIX VICTORY II

WHITNEY RIX VICTORY II

NOTHING ELSE MATTERS
V1/      Well you know I buried her,
But I think she buried me,
For ever since that sad day,
Known a strange kind of lonely.
Under that Texas sand,
Think I left some part of me,
Did flowers spring from my tears,
Or did they wither just like me?

Ch/     Well now, nothing else matters,
And if the whole earth shatters,
I'll say that it's destiny,
Break my heart again,
Well then, nothing else matters,
As my broken heart shatters,
I was already dead you see,
Light in my eyes had left me.

V2/     I must let my love run out,
Don't know what it's all about,
Love you more than words can shout,
And how could you ever doubt.
For you lit the light again,
But now I feel it grows dim,
And love's a crime without sin,
But yes it can do you in.

V3/     So now when the curtain calls,
And you walk down empty halls,
Will you then cry out my name,
Like a candle without flame?
So now when the trumpet blows,
And I lay lost in the snows,
Will you then remember me,
My most beautiful baby.

JUST AN ECHO

V1/      I'm wandering around, lost in here,
We have lost another one so dear,
We fought the battle and yet we have lost,
And those outside cannot know the cost.

Ch/     Just an echo in the dooms of love,
Just a spark lost to the stars above,
Silence in the midst of breaking hearts,
To the Maker from the battle departs.

Just an echo in the dooms of love,
Just a spark lost to the stars above,
Just an echo fades to memories,
Now an angel to dance o'er the trees!

V2/     Now you're gone too fast, we're out of time,
Just one more minute, just some more time,
All the sand's run out of the hourglass,
Our cries echo now, this time's the past.

HEAVEN'S CRYING RAIN

V1/      Her father said that the train was headed round the bend,
We did not want to say goodbye, didn't want it to end,
But we are only given so much time that we can spend,
For we are all born to die and born to meet our end.

Ch/     I hear the lonesome whistle blow, please come back again,
You've left us in a lonely world of grey skies and rain,
I think I've seen it once before, Heaven's crying rain,
And since you walked out that door, Heaven's crying rain.

Pouring from the Heavens down, can you wash away the pain?
Oh now how can the sun be seen through the crying rain?
And yet one day in the sunshine, we will meet again,
And till that time, we'll sometimes say: “Heaven's crying rain.”

Refrain:
Crying rain, Oh crying rain, till we see you again,
Pouring from the Heavens down, oh please wash away our pain,
Crying rain, Oh crying rain, till we see you again,
And yet one day in the sunshine, we will meet again!
